The Life Of An Ordinary 19 year old Indian: 8

The game changing perspective.

I’ve been reading Lance Armstrong’s biography; It’s not about the bike - My journey back to life, these past few couple of days. And the book is basically his story of making it to the international stage of world cycling, suffering 4th stage testicular cancer, beating it and then winning the Tour Dé France.

While reading this book, side by side, I have been listening to the Gary Vee Audio Experience. And in one of his audio books, Gary speaks about the odds of becoming a human being; 400,000,000,000,000 to 1

The Lance Armstrong biography documents how he got cancer, identified it, suffered horrendously, fought it, beat it and came out on top. And the book documents the cancer part of it extremely vividly.

While reading about his cancer and the suffering, I learn a lot about the disease itself along with how it isn’t really a rarity in this world and how so many people suffer from it, and either die or come out on top.

The way he describes the pain and agony and fear, not just for his cycling career but his actual life was absolutely insane. It fucking moved me. It really did.

It gives you this perspective of life which ideally one wouldn’t have. There are so many people suffering right now and their sole aim is just to stay alive and here we are cribbing and crying about absolute nonsense when compared to that.

Their LIFE is at stake. Losing their LIFE is a problem. Now in all honesty, that is a really big ass problem. And there are two ways to go about it, either surrender to the fact that you’re gonna die (in some cases its unavoidable, I’m not talking about those. Those are the worst) or fight for your LIFE. It’s that simple. And the only thing that is playing on cancer patients heads is to just push through and come out on top.

And then there are people who will crib, cry, lament and fucking dwell on absolute bat shit nonsense in comparison to this, when there is another option of looking the other way, the positive way, finding a solution and pushing through that adversity.

Seneca had said, “We suffer more in our imagination than in reality.”

And if you think about that^, it is really fucking true. We make things bigger than they really are and extend shit that actually shouldn’t matter.

Our perspective about what life is and how we value it is in the dumps. And I’m sorry but everyone needs a huge wake up call right now. So keep on reading.

This is where the Gary Vee Audio Experience comes into play and if you’ve read this till now I’m gonna need you to club the above and below points and make something positive of it.

Scientists have worked out the math and have come to the conclusion that the odds of becoming a human being in this world is a fucking whopping 400 TRILLION TO ONE!

400,000,000,000,000 to 1

LET THAT SINK IN!

You could have been a parrot, a tree, a plant, a fucking frog but instead you turned out to be the apex predator, the one and only powerfully species. A human.

You have a life. You can move. You can talk. You can make things happen! You can do shit!

You have cognitive abilities! You have a mind that can imagine things that no other species can! You can change the fucking world!

You! You! You! YOU! FUCKING YOU!

YOU HIT THE FUCKING JACKPOT BY BEING BORN AS A HUMAN!

Have you ever wished that you win the lottery and have the best of everything?

Well guess what?

YOU JUST FUCKING DID THE DAY YOU WERE BORN!

You have no reason or right to complain. The odds of becoming what you are today is an amazing 400 trillion to one. I mean, I couldn’t believe it at first so I did my bit of research around this and to my surprise it is actually true! And in that one single moment, my entire perspective about life changed!

We are the lucky ones!

And there is no greater era to be alive than the one right now!

Sure there are problems, who the fuck doesn’t have problems, but in all honesty, it’s better than the black plague or the great depression right?

So seize the day my friends!

Start valuing your life because it is special. It is unique. You are unique. Your mind is like the infinity gauntlet, you just need to learn how to control it and steer it in the right direction!

There are only 7 Billion of us in this entire universe with one unavoidable fate, you are going to die. There are no two ways about it.

SO SEIZE THE FUCKING DAY AND GO DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY CRACK YOU ARE GOING TO GET AT LIFE AND IF YOU ARE NOT DOING WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY THEN IM SORRY BUT YOU’RE WASTING YOUR LIFE. AND TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING WITH CANCER AND WHAT NOT, THE ONLY THING THEY WANT IS ANOTHER SHOT AT LIFE. SO CONSIDER YOURSELF ABLE AND LUCKY AND SO POWERFUL THAT YOU CAN SEEK AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!

It is all about perspective my friends.

All about perspective.

I’ve been moved. I’m grateful to be alive. Grateful 24/7/365

Are you?

I hope this was able to get my point across to you cause I just want to see you happy and enjoying your life. Cause it is ever so rare to be born human, and it is ever so easy to catch a disease or suffer and lose it as well.

Count your stars. And then go kill it!

I love you.

Have a great day and an absolute great year!

Cheers!
